We will examine the Early Dynastic Period, where Upper and Lower Egypt were united, and the Old Kingdom, where the Pharaohs were deified and supposedly "immortal." We will also explore the First Intermediate Period, where administrative nobles took power, and the Middle Kingdom, where political power returned to the Pharaohs. Moreover, we will learn about the Second Intermediate Period, where Egypt was invaded by foreign forces, and the New Kingdom, where Ahmose began the Egyptian Empire, which conquered Canaan and parts of Asia Minor.
